Genesis of Nouveau Griot

Welcome to Nouveau Griot.   The title of this blog originated from a collaboration with Desiree Evans at TransAfrica Forum (Washington DC) that intended to generate a policy journal from young academics with an interest in social and economic justice in Africa and its Diaspora.  The project never quite got off the ground, but the name (and the basic blog outline) endured. Plus, it achieves in rhyming words from French and Wolof.  The irony that I am neither French nor Senegalese be damned....
